THE DESIGN-BUILD PROCESS
At West Canyon, our philosophy is simple: Your landscape is an extension of your residence or building. We create a unique landscape environment that invites your participation and enjoyment. We also identify for you exactly how all design and installation changes are determined. Our landscape architecture and construction teams create and build our own designs for a wide variety of projects. Not only are our traditional design skills mandatory; specialized installation and construction skills are also key ingredients in our design-build process. Most design-build firms do not own or operate nurseries and garden centers. We do! This allows for further cost savings to you. Plus, we offer complete project control – from preliminary design to the finished product. You enjoy lower prices, better quality control and more efficient and timely execution of our work. Should any outside contractors be required, we will assist you in their selection and oversight. Our fixed fees are stated in advance and our consulting services are closely related to those provided by the traditional private practice firms.

WEST CANYON’S LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE/DESIGN TEAMS
We believe great planting installations begin with great planting designs. By understanding what you want, we develop a Master Landscape Plan that can be implemented in phases based on your budget, tastes and priorities.
Our landscape architects/designers are trained to offer comprehensive environmental design and site planning, while understanding the special needs of plants and their environments. They can help with a wide range of landscape challenges, such as theme and wildlife gardens, water features, irrigation, decks and patios, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, outdoor lighting and xeriscape design.
A good personal reference is important when selecting a landscape architect/designer (click for our list). Other references sources are the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado, the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, trade shows, exhibits.
